It’s Time Machine Tuesday!

Here’s Shut Your Mouth. You might recognize it as track 4 from Dangerous Girls.

However, you may not be aware that this track originally sounded a bit different. In fact, we probably recorded it about four or five times before deciding on the album version. In the spirit of digging up deliciousness from days gone by, here is what it might have sounded like if we hadn’t completely reworked it.

What are you going to be listening to this weekend? If you’re around Chicago, there’s a shit ton of snow on the way and then next couple of days are probably going to be a bit of a drag. Maybe you intend to spend Saturday at home with your cats or dogs. Maybe, you’re planning on beating the winter blues by cozying up with your girl by the fire. Perhaps you’ll just relax and roll with it.

There are a lot of ways to tell old man winter to shut his mouth but the best way is to rock out with Power Power Tigerpaw. So, we’re having a little contest and the best part is, everybody wins.

Later today, we’ll send you a message with a link to download the track that wins so you can chuck it on your media player of choice or burn it to that sweet, “driving home in the damn snow” mix CD you’ve been wasting valuable company time thinking about today.

In spite of the fact that most of the voting going on right now involves old white guys who love money and hate sexual intercourse without the intention of procreation, we promise, voting is still cool.

Word on the street is, there are going to be some sweet tracks up on soundcloud next week that no one has heard outside the walls of El Studio Gigante. Maybe even something that will make you dance like a robot on virtual ketamine. Plus, we’ll dig back into the vault on Monday for a before and after of the song we’ve been using to tear off our audience’s faces since we released Dangerous Girls.

‘Cause you know… there should be some pictures under that link up there which sort-or promises pics. It’s not actually a promise, but it heavily implies it.
